Alex Green

Alex founded Adirondac Group in 2015 to help companies rethink the way they lead their organization. He is a trusted advisor to executives and entrepreneurs on matters of strategic positioning, leadership effectiveness and corporate culture. With a focus on start-ups to middle-market companies, Alex brings more than 20 years of management experience to clients facing organizational challenges.

Throughout his career, Alex has been a key member of the leadership team at several major financial services companies. Most recently, he redesigned and managed the implementation processes for investment activist firm, Relational Investors. During his six years with Relational Investors, Alex coordinated the strategic efforts of internal teams as well as external business partners on 59 investments totaling more than $15 billion in value. As a Wall Street veteran, Alex was part of the leadership team responsible for mentoring younger investment professionals developing within the firm’s investment ecosystem.

Prior to Relational Investors, Alex was part of the executive team at quantitative hedge fund manger, Freeman Associates, where he helped grow the firm from $2 billion to $6 billion in assets under management. While at Freeman Associates, Alex was a member of the Investment Committee and managed the firm’s trading efforts. Before that, he led an implementation team in the development of a new electronic trading platform at $144 billion mutual fund complex, American Century Investments.

Outside of the business community, Alex has held positions as a non-profit board member and trustee. He holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Philosophy from Union College of Schenectady, New York.
